UCO's Murrah Collection to Move to Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum
June 15, 2026

The University of Central Oklahoma's Max Chambers Library will bid farewell to the Murrah Collection, a group of artworks salvaged from the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building following the Oklahoma City bombing April 19, 1995.
The collection, which has been housed at the UCO Library for more than two decades, will be moved June 24-26, to the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum. Following its departure from UCO, the artwork will spend at least one year in dark storage to help preserve and protect the pieces.
The Murrah Collection features a variety of works, including fiber tapestries, ceramics, photographs, metal sculptures, quilts and wooden sculptures. The pieces serve as powerful reminders of resilience, remembrance and hope.
Community members are encouraged to visit the collection before it leaves campus to experience the artworks, reflect on their significance and honor the memories of those who lost their lives.
For those unable to view the collection in person, a collection tour is available for viewing online.
The UCO Library will provide updates once the collection is installed at the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum. Information on the progress of the installation construction is also available through the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum website.
