UCO to Share the Holiday Spirit with Annual ‘WinterGlow’ Celebration, Dec. 6
Dec. 3, 2024
The University of Central Oklahoma invites the community to celebrate the holiday season at its 26th annual WinterGlow Celebration from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.
The festivities begin with the Broncho Lake Lighting Ceremony on the north side of the Nigh University Center on UCO’s campus. UCO President Todd G. Lamb, UCO First Lady Monica Lamb and Edmond Mayor Darrell Davis will provide opening remarks.
Following the ceremony, the free, family-friendly celebration continues with a winter carnival, which includes inflatables, arts and crafts, story time, a horse-drawn carriage, Santa photos and more.
This year, Central is partnering with the Hope Center of Edmond—a nonprofit that supports community members facing personal emergencies—for its Santa Drive. Guests who donate gently used clothing will have the opportunity to take a photo with Santa.
“As we prepare for this year’s WinterGlow, I’m truly excited to welcome everyone to experience this cherished campus tradition,” said Chidera Osaji, WinterGlow executive director.
“WinterGlow is about more than just celebrating the season; it’s an opportunity for our entire community to come together, make memories and enjoy an evening filled with fun and connection. We do this each year to foster a sense of belonging, warmth and joy for everyone on campus.”
