UCO to Host TEDxUCO, ‘InnovaTED,’ Feb. 20
Feb. 14, 2025

The University of Central Oklahoma will host TEDxUCO, an independently organized TED-like event of short talks and performances, from 6-9:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, in Constitution Hall in the Nigh University Center, located on Central’s campus.
This year’s theme, “InnovaTED,” will bring community members and UCO students, faculty and staff together to explore creative minds, sparking curiosity and inspiring the next generation of thinkers while creating an opportunity to challenge today's ideas to grow the possibilities of tomorrow.
“TED is a community event that invites people to hear and learn about topics that provoke insight, growth and development for individuals, communities and societies alike. It is an experience that is truly unique to itself, and I walk away with new perspectives from each talk,” said Lily Dilbeck, a senior psychology major and assistant executive director of TEDxUCO.
TED is a nonprofit that began in 1984 as a conference focused on bringing together people from across the technology, entertainment and design industries. Since its creation, TED has spread around the globe, including through TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that aim to spark deep discussion and connection within a smaller group.
Tickets are free but must be reserved online before the event.
