UCO Recognizes Students for Academic Achievements as Fall 2025 Class Marshals

The University of Central Oklahoma has named five students as Class Marshals of their respective colleges for the fall 2025 semester, recognizing them for their academic excellence.

Students earn the title of Class Marshal for achieving the highest academic records within their colleges during their time at Central.

“At the University of Central Oklahoma, we proudly celebrate our best and brightest with the honor of Class Marshal,” said UCO President Todd G. Lamb. 

“These students represent what it truly means to be a Broncho through their hard work, dedication and drive to make a difference. They have left their mark on our campus, and we look forward to the incredible impact they will have in their communities and careers beyond UCO.”

Zoë E. Adam is a French and forensic science double major with a 4.0 GPA in the College of Liberal Arts. She is a native of Enid, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Enid High School in 2021. During her time at UCO, she earned the Academic Honors Scholarship and the Diogenes Study Tour Scholarship.

After graduation, she plans to pursue a teaching job abroad and continue her translation work.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at UCO. Through the guidance of my amazing professors, my love of education has grown immensely. Some of my best memories were made during my time at UCO," Adam said.

"My formative experiences, both educational and personal, enabled me to build long-lasting relationships with professors and friends. It has opened the door to opportunities at home and abroad. I will carry these skills and the knowledge that I have learned here throughout the rest of my life."

Cristalynne Burns is a music education major with a 4.0 GPA in the College of Fine Arts and Design. She is a 2021 graduate of Classen School of Advanced Studies at Northeast in Oklahoma City.

During her time at Central, Burns participated in UCO's National Association for Music Education-Collegiate, where she served as treasurer, vice president and president; the UCO Horn Studio, where she served as treasurer and president; and the School of Music Student Council. She also earned the 2023 Dean's Scholarship Award for the College of Fine Arts and Design, the 2023 Don Betz Leadership in the Arts Scholarship, the 2025 Oklahoma Music Educators Association's Outstanding Collegiate Music Education Student award and UCO's 2024 Outstanding Junior Student Leader award.

After graduation, Burns plans to pursue a master’s degree in horn performance.

“I have loved getting to know my current and future colleagues as I have learned to be a music educator," Burns said.

"Throughout my time at UCO, I have had an experience-filled adventure while learning to shape the future through music.”

Madigan Cuneo is a nursing major with a 4.0 GPA in the College of Mathematics and Science. She is a 2021 graduate of Edmond North High School in Edmond, Oklahoma. During her time at UCO, Cuneo served as a tutor in the School of Nursing.

After graduation, Cuneo plans to begin her nursing career in women’s health or pediatrics and to one day become a nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health. ​

“My journey at UCO has truly been life-changing. The UCO School of Nursing helped me grow not only in knowledge and skill, but also in purpose, confidence and passion," Cuneo said.

"I owe so much to my incredible professors, whose passion for nursing and unwavering belief in their students shaped me into the kind of nurse and person I’ve always wanted to be. UCO has given me the foundation to step into my next chapter not just as a nurse, but as someone who is ready to love, lead and serve with her whole heart.”

Raedyn Pierce is a psychology and forensic science double major with a 4.0 GPA in the College of Education and Professional Studies. She is a native of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and a 2020 graduate of Dale High School. During her time at UCO, Pierce served as an officer for UCO’s Psi Chi chapter, holding the positions of social media ambassador, historian and vice president. She was also a member of Delta Delta Epsilon and the Student Academy for Forensic Sciences. She was awarded the Kathryn Lanay Moyer Endowed Scholarship in Psychology.

After graduation, Pierce plans to take time off to travel and be with family before pursuing graduate studies in forensic science with the goal of becoming a crime scene technician.

“My time at UCO has been a transformative experience, both academically and personally. Pursuing a double major allowed me to fully explore my interests while discovering new opportunities and career paths along the way," Pierce said.

"UCO’s supportive community and engaging learning environment helped me build lasting relationships and grow in ways I hadn’t anticipated. I’m proud to have been part of a university that encourages both personal development and academic excellence.”

Russell Maximus Raydon is a human resources management major with a 4.0 GPA in the College of Business. He is a native of Oklahoma City and graduated from Westmoore High School in 2021. During his time at UCO, Raydon was a member of the HR Management Club. Due to his academic success, he earned the Philip Hagan Wickett Memorial Scholarship, the Oklahoma Grocers Foundation Scholarship, Freshman Honors, the Shedeck Business Scholarship and the Management Department Scholarship Fund.

After graduation, Raydon plans to pursue a career in human resources, where he hopes to make a meaningful difference in the workplace.

“My experience at the University of Central Oklahoma has been incredibly rewarding. As a commuter student, I spend a great deal of time on campus, especially in the library, where I balance studying and connecting with classmates," Raydon said.

"I was fortunate to learn from an outstanding group of professors in the human resource management program, whose depth of knowledge and real-world experience greatly shaped my understanding of the field. Along the way, I made lasting friendships and created memories that I will always cherish.”

First presented in 1994, the Class Marshal title has become a proud tradition at Central. During the commencement ceremonies, each honoree will wear a bronze graduation gown and a special stole, signifying the highest degree of academic excellence.
