The University of Central Oklahoma PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) program collaborated with IdeasLab to provide students with access to XView AI Pro, a state-of-the-art golf swing analysis tool that leverages computer vision and artificial intelligence (AI) to simultaneously track movement of the body, golf shaft and club to provide a comprehensive, full-swing analysis with no sensors or wearables required.

With this new technology, UCO PGM students will gain hands-on experience that blends innovation with real-world application, preparing them to help shape the future of sports education and performance. This collaboration supports the UCO College of Business in its mission to provide impactful and transformative learning opportunities.

UCO is one of only three PGA-accredited institutions nationwide to integrate this technology into its curriculum formally.

"Partnering with such respected programs at esteemed universities signals another step forward in our mission to make elite-level swing analysis available to every golfer and build disruptive applications around sports, fitness and human motion," said Winston Yang, founder and CEO of IdeasLab.

"We're especially excited to learn from the feedback of tomorrow's golf instructors. These are the athletes who will be helping shape the game's future with us."

IdeasLab, developer of XView AI Pro, is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI technologies around sports, fitness and human motion.

Central’s PGA-accredited program is one of only 16 in the country and the only PGA PGM program in Oklahoma. Through classroom instruction, internships at golf courses and cutting-edge applications and technology in the program’s specifically-designed learning and teaching facility—the Golf Research and Instruction Performance (GRIP) Lab—the PGA PGM program offers extensive player development opportunities for aspiring PGA of America members.

About University of Central Oklahoma

The University of Central Oklahoma is a campus community in motion—leading, innovating and creating transformative learning opportunities that foster success for our students. As Oklahoma’s largest metropolitan university, we provide high-quality, nationally recognized programs that are always evolving and adapting to the needs of our students and the community. This commitment is rooted in our founding in 1890 as the state’s teacher’s college, training those who would educate the next generation of leaders and innovators. We remain dedicated to offering an accessible, affordable education, earning national accolades for social mobility, veterans’ outreach and first-generation student programs.

Guided by the motto “ubi motus est” – which translates to “where movement is” – the university continues to evolve and grow, offering 119 undergraduate and 81 graduate programs to our more than 12,000 students from our main campus in Edmond, Oklahoma, and facilities throughout the Oklahoma City metro. Our colors were the first adopted of any university in the state, and our Bronze and Blue symbolize our greatest strengths—the illumination of new ideas and the endless expanse of a clear sky above. At UCO, anything is possible.

The university is governed by the Regional University System of Oklahoma Board of Regents and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
