University of Central Oklahoma museum education students and the Laboratory of History Museum will bring campus history to life during a Living Walking Tour beginning at 12:30 p.m., Monday, April 13. The tour will begin at Old North on Central’s campus.

The immersive experience will feature live performances by undergraduate and graduate students in museum studies portraying key figures from the university’s past. Performances will take place across six historic campus buildings and sites, offering attendees a unique, interactive look at UCO’s history.

“It's been incredible watching these students connect with UCO's history. They have spent hours in the archives learning about the university's founders and the lives of past students,” said Chelsea Ball, Ph.D., director of museum studies and assistant professor in the Department of History and Geography at UCO.

“The living history performances will be a treat to anyone interested in seeing UCO history come alive.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with historical characters as they share stories and perspectives that highlight the university’s evolution and legacy. The tour is designed to offer a dynamic, educational experience through storytelling and performance.

Space for the tour is limited, and participants are encouraged to reserve a spot in advance.
