UCO Foundation Announces New Members to Board of Trustees

The University of Central Oklahoma Foundation elected five new members to its Board of Trustees, effective July 1. The new trustees will support the foundation's mission of advancing student success and strengthening the university through private philanthropy, scholarships and program support.
Harry W. Emerson III, principal with E-3 Equities, LLC, brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in the energy and utilities sector, including executive roles with OGE Energy Corp. Throughout his career, he has led innovative initiatives in customer engagement, smart grid technology, renewable energy and strategic business development. A UCO graduate, Emerson holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from Oklahoma City University.
Joshua Hart, senior vice president and financial advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, has more than 25 years of experience in financial services and wealth management, helping individuals and families build and sustain wealth across generations. A native of Guymon, Oklahoma, Hart earned his bachelor’s degree from UCO and a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University.
Sam Moses, commercial lines producer with Unity Insurance Partners, specializes in helping businesses develop customized risk management strategies and has earned numerous industry recognitions for excellence in commercial insurance. A former UCO football student-athlete, he was named UCO Male Student-Athlete of the Year and Senior Central Standout in 2012. Moses currently serves as board chair of Revitalize T-Town, a Tulsa nonprofit dedicated to assisting elderly and low-income homeowners.
Randall Gantz, real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty. Prior to entering real estate, Gantz spent 20 years working in the healthcare and energy industries. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from UCO, where he was also a member of the Broncho baseball team.
Elizabeth Proctor Christensen, entrepreneur and community advocate. Christensen attended UCO and has built a diverse professional career spanning retail management, the oil and gas industry and business ownership. She is actively involved with numerous Oklahoma nonprofit organizations and is developing a nonprofit initiative focused on empowering young girls through education, mentorship and access to critical resources.
In addition, Sue Lynn Sasser, Ph.D., member of the UCO Emeritus Faculty Association, will join the Board of Trustees following her nomination by the association. A longtime educator and advocate for higher education, Sasser brings valuable institutional knowledge and a deep understanding of Central's mission, history and commitment to student success. She will serve as a full voting member of the board.
“Strong organizations require thoughtful leadership and sound governance,” said Allen Wright, vice president for UCO Office for Advancement and president of the UCO Foundation.
“The Foundation is fortunate to have trustees who have distinguished themselves in business, finance, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and higher education. They bring a wealth of experience, sound judgment and a commitment to service that will help guide the Foundation as we steward resources, honor donor intent and advance the mission of the University of Central Oklahoma.”
The UCO Foundation serves as the private fundraising partner for UCO, providing scholarship assistance to students while supporting faculty, academic programs and university initiatives that enhance the Central experience.
