KUCO’s 'Choice Classics' Countdown Returns this Thanksgiving
Nov. 3, 2025

Classical KUCO 90.1 FM, the University of Central Oklahoma’s performing arts radio station, invites listeners to celebrate Thanksgiving with "Choice Classics," the station’s annual listener-voted countdown of favorite classical works.
Beginning at 7 a.m., Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, KUCO will reveal the top selections as voted on by listeners, continuing throughout the holiday and concluding with the No. 1 piece before 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 28.
Listeners are encouraged to cast their votes by submitting their top three classical works via email at kucofm@uco.edu or online at classicalkuco.org by Friday, Nov. 14. KUCO host Kent Anderson will tabulate the results and curate the broadcast.
“Last year, we revived one of KUCO’s great traditions from earlier years,” Anderson said.
“It’s a fun and lively way to usher in the holiday season. I personally love seeing our listeners’ top picks.”
In 2024, listeners crowned Dvořák’s Symphony "From the New World" as their top choice.
Classical KUCO is the state’s only locally programmed performing arts radio station. Broadcasting at 100,000 watts from Oklahoma City’s Bricktown district, KUCO reaches nearly 46% of Oklahomans, with a global audience via online streaming at classicalkuco.org and through smart devices.
